Join the Center for Brooklyn History’s Educators for a professional development session on teaching civics through the history of social and political engagement in Brooklyn.
This all-day Professional Development session will engage local civic history through CBH’s new People Making Power exhibition, feature a presentation on the exhibition’s creation by CBH Chief Historian Dominique Jean-Louis, and conclude with CBH Educators sharing strategies for crafting open-ended questions and instilling debate and argument skills through primary source research.
A light breakfast and a full lunch will be provided. Participating educators will receive 6 CTLE credits.
