Are you an aspiring principal or teacher interested in obtaining a principal license and becoming a leader in your school and district? Your path to leadership begins in CU Denver’s Leadership for Educational Organizations (LEO) program. In CU Denver’s Denver metro area principal licensure cohort, you will develop in-depth understanding about leadership roles and responsibilities, contemporary educational issues, and collaboration within and across communities. You will also develop a thorough awareness of the legal, financial and political dimensions of schools and school districts. We are accepting applications through June 30, 2024.

Complete the principal licensure requirements in four semesters (32 credit hours) and receive a MA degree. For an additional nine credits, you may earn an EdS degree instead. Application to the EdS degree requires submission of a transcript documenting a previously completed master’s degree in an academic program outside of Leadership for Educational Organizations.

Classes take place one Friday per month (5 – 8 p.m.) and one Saturday per month (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) from Sept. 2024 – Dec. 2025. Classes are conveniently located at CU Denver’s Lawrence Street Center.
