Teaching About 9/11: Stories for Today’s Classrooms

On Aug. 27th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm, join Retro Report and The New York Historical for the screening of a new short film about the Children’s Discovery Center, a daycare formerly located in the World Trade Center complex. On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, teachers and staff evacuated nearly 30 infants and toddlers from Ground Zero, eventually reuniting them with their families.

Retro Report’s director of Education, David Olson, will conduct a discussion and Q&A with the featured guests. You will take home free classroom-ready resources from both organizations. Light refreshments will be served.
