Join Kids First Chicago and Mikva Challenge on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. for a virtual town hall conversation about Chicago’s upcoming transition to an Elected School Board.
Why you should join us: The change to an elected school board creates new opportunities and challenges. Kids First Chicago’s CEO Daniel Anello will moderate a panel of Chicago Public School (CPS) parents and students as they offer their priorities and perspectives around:
- Issues or concerns they would like the elected school board to prioritize
- How the elected school board could lead to better representation for their communities and schools
- How the elected school board could improve communication, collaboration, and transparency between parents, students, and schools
- Holding the new board accountable for their decisions
