New York State Council for the Social Studies 88th Annual Convention: Seize the Moment!
Don’t miss out – register for the NYSCSS Convention today! Our theme – “Social Studies: Seize the Moment” speaks to the important role Social Studies plays in preparing students to understand and engage in their communities during these challenging times. Our Convention will offer a combination of keynote addresses, featured speakers, 45-minute and 90-minute workshop sessions based in content scholarship and high-quality pedagogy. An NYSCSS Convention is a marketplace of ideas – a forum and a showcase for instructional strategies, materials, programs, teaching methods, and networking opportunities for Social Studies educators. Registration gives you online access to all session materials up to 60 days after the event; up to 14 NYSED CTLE hours available with full registration; and daily breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks. If you can join us for two days or the full Convention, the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton Binghamton offers a great Convention rate through February 20, 2026. Check out our website – nyscss.wildapricot.org – for a Convention Overview to learn more about keynote speakers and sessions. Don’t delay – register today!
