Do you have an idea for a school in your community? Are you curious about what it takes to build one? National education organization BES (build. excel. sustain.) is hosting a special in-person experience for aspiring and early-stage school founders in Tennessee who are interested in applying to the 2026 BES Fellowship.

WHAT: During this New School Design Experience, you will have the opportunity to:
Go on a tour of a BES Fellow-founded school.
Participate in a Q&A with a BES Fellow and school founder.
Engage in a school design simulation activity where you will work in groups to come up with a school model idea that meets the needs of your community.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This experience is designed for educators and community leaders ready to reimagine and build what’s next. Those who are interested and plan to apply to the 2026 BES Fellowship are encouraged to attend.
COST: This event is free to attend.
About the BES Fellowship: Leaders who are deeply committed to transforming education embark on a multi-year process to design, found, and lead an excellent K-12 public school that reflects and responds to community needs. Since 2001, BES Fellows have founded over 220 schools and currently serve more than 75,000 students across the country.
