The Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble (MORE Opera), a Manhattan-based nonprofit focused on providing vocal arts education and music performance, will present Opera Night at the 2026 San Gennaro Festival in the heart of Manhattan’s Little Italy on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM on the festival’s mainstage located at Mott and Grand Streets on the Lower East Side.

The performance features mezzo-soprano Marie Anello, tenor Arthur Lai, baritone Daniel Sutin, and soprano Cheryl Warfield singing operatic arias, duets, and ensembles from La Traviata, Aïda, La Boheme, Carmen, and Tosca, and crowd favorites including Nessun dorma from Turandot and the Neapolitan classic O sole mio, accompanied by classical pianist Olga Gurevich. Emerging artist Diana Marie Paunetto will make a guest appearance.

This is MORE Opera’s fourth year presenting Opera Night for the festival. For over 20 years, MORE Opera has made classical music and opera accessible through culturally responsive programming, free public performances, educational initiatives, and community choral training.

“The community nature of our work is especially important. We take pride in our efforts to bring professional-level opera performances directly to audiences that might not otherwise have opportunities to enjoy and participate in high-quality multicultural programs,“ said Warfield, founder of MORE Opera and producer of the event.
