Film Premiere: Beyond the Diploma

Join Stand for Children Illinois for a film premiere of Beyond the Diploma: Paving a Personalized Path for Every Student!

Every Illinois student deserves the opportunity for relevant, career-connected learning that prepares them for life after high school—from exposure to workplace experiences, to mentorship, to early college access. Through innovative partnerships among schools, vocational centers, employers, and the State, many students are flourishing, excited and prepared for their future. But for others, the barriers are overwhelming—and they languish on a waiting list, without transportation, unable to fit valuable career experiences into a full schedule, or otherwise unmotivated, unconnected, and unfulfilled. Learn how access to early career exploration impacts a student’s future, and how our advocacy work seeks to improve the education system in Illinois.

Our film premiere is open to all of our supporters, advocates, and education partners! A discussion panel will follow after the film. Stay to ask questions and connect with some of the stars interviewed in our film.
