More than 650,000 Hoosier public school students ride yellow school buses to and from school each day. While school options have increased and changed, the way students get to school is largely unchanged and has a lot of room for improvement. These issues directly affect students and families. For example, issues like driver shortages, long bus ride times, safety, and cost affect whether or not schools can offer transportation that can meet the needs of families.

Join this Community Conversation to dive into The Mind Trust’s recent report on school transportation in Indiana. Hear from parents and school leaders on their experience managing and using school transportation and their ideas for improvements. Attendees will also learn more about recommendations for more flexible laws and collaboration that can positively impact Hoosier students across the state.
