Roughly 1 in 2 Colorado students is not yet reading at grade-level—and up to 1 in 5 children may have dyslexia or characteristics of dyslexia.
Join DenCoKID + Colorado Community Partners to learn more at a FREE screening of Let Us Read, a newly released documentary exploring dyslexia, reading science, and the families, educators, researchers, and communities working to improve outcomes when reading does not come easily. The 80-minute film moves from brain science and early identification to effective instruction, family advocacy, student experiences, workforce opportunities, and the cost of waiting too long for support.
Arrive a bit early to get your popcorn and check out the free resources. Following the film, a community panel will bring its national themes home to Denver and Colorado— exploring topics like universal dyslexia screening policy, dyslexic thinking, teacher support, family advocacy, student equity, and practical steps we can take to help create change.
