Civically Engaged in Exploring Change
What is ‘change’ and how does it happen?
Join the Intrepid Museum for an all-day, in-person professional development session examining the impact of civic engagement on social change from 9:30am-3:00pm EST. Explore why Navy policies and practices changed to include voices from previously excluded communities during World War II. Learn how sailors advocated for equity and discuss the process of how ‘change’ happens through policies enacted during and after the USS Intrepid’s era of service.
This program provides 4.25 CTLE credits. Registered participants will receive information via email prior to the programming date. Check-in will begin at 9:00am EST at the Museum’s Welcome Center. Morning coffee and materials are provided. Lunch is not provided.
Please register only if you have administrative support and can attend for the full day, as space is limited for this in-person program.
