This free workshop is geared toward current educators of students in grades 3-5 or middle school social studies, or high school world history. Participants will learn about the Chickasaw Nation, their presence is West Tennessee, and their connection to Memphis along with reviewing two lesson plans developed by the Chickasaw Nation that can be taught to students. Participants will have time to align the lessons with the standards they must cover. Free resources will be provided for participants including books, maps, and curriculum materials. Lunch will also be provided.
