Challenging the American Dream: Immigration and Industrialization in the Gilded Age

The United States went through major changes in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, fueled by immigration and industrialization. In this workshop, examine how these societal and economic changes impacted the working class and learn how to teach the complicated history of “the American dream.”
