Chalkbeat Colorado 2025 Legislative Preview
Join us for our annual discussion of key education topics likely to surface during the upcoming legislative session. This year’s conversation will be held virtually on Zoom Webinar from noon – 1:30 MT on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025.
Last time, our conversation with lawmakers ranged from how Colorado high schools can better prepare students for college and the workforce, how to improve universal preschool for family, and school funding.
This year, we’ll once again discuss funding challenges, including how to balance K-12 investments when the state can keep less money than in past years, as well as where the school choice movement goes from here after the failure of Amendment 80 at the ballot, the future of higher education, and other education priorities of lawmakers during the session.
We will announce participating lawmakers as they are confirmed.
Please register for this event so we’re able to provide the webinar information, and so you can submit your ideas for questions to ask our panel. Chalkbeat Colorado is a nonprofit organization, and tickets are priced at a suggested donation of $25 to support our journalism and events such as this one. Please note that price shouldn’t be a barrier to attendance: You can give $1 or go above the suggested $25 ticket price if you want. All proceeds will go to support our journalism, and we encourage you to give as you are able.
Thank you to our event partners, Young Invincibles.
