Beyond Translation: Coaching Multilingual Excellence

Children’s Literacy Initiative is hosting a virtual Superintendent Roundtable on February 4 focused on literacy coaching for multilingual learners. As districts expand Science of Reading initiatives, many leaders are examining whether current coaching models adequately support multilingual classrooms.  
 
This roundtable will explore how coaching can integrate structured literacy, translanguaging, and culturally sustaining practices to better meet the needs of multilingual students. The session is designed for superintendents, district leaders, and instructional leaders seeking to strengthen literacy instruction through equity-driven coaching approaches.
