Hosted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Chicago, this free two-hour interactive professional development workshop helps prepare IL educators to include Asian American history, stories, and voices into the curriculum. Attendees will learn about:
- Why including the Asian American experience is important
- The diversity of the Asian American community nationally and in Illinois
- Anti-Asian stereotypes throughout history and today
- Asian Americans fighting for racial justice with other communities of color
- How to use our Asian American Education Resource Database
