READ 718 welcomes and serves children from low-income families in grades 1-8 from anywhere in New York City, though almost all of our students live in Brooklyn. Approximately 50% of our students have IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), indicating a learning disability. Our mission is to close the literacy gap in Brooklyn and to help ensure educational access and equity for all Brooklyn children.

Join us as we hear from Staff Attorney Pamela Mendez from Advocates for Children, who will share valuable information about the IEP process as well as your rights as parents. This is event is free to the public.

You can find more information about our organization at read718.org.
