This in-person, interactive, and – according to past participants – life-changing course for K-12 educators draws on the Museum’s groundbreaking exhibitions to examine the past, present, and future of New York through the lives of New Yorkers who have shaped and been shaped by the city they call home – including ourselves. 

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with each other in community through gallery experiences at the museum, hands-on art workshops, discussions, guest lectures, and writing exercises, They will leave this course understanding the central role culture plays in education and equipped to bring CR-SE principles to their own teaching practice.

Dates: Monday, August 5 – Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM Daily

The course takes place at the Museum of the City of New York, located at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street in Manhattan. 

A light breakfast of coffee, bagels, and pastries will be provided daily. 

All course materials are provided. A full course schedule will be posted by June 30, 2024.
