Presenter(s): Brad Stiles & Ron Lee (CSSRC Staff)

Presentation Topic: Crisis Response Guidelines for IHE and K-12 Schools

Date/Time: Thursday June 2, 2022 | 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM (MST)

Abstract: The CSSRC staff will be presenting on a new set of Guidelines developed over the last several months by the Statewide Crisis Response Working Group. These Guidelines do not replace district and IHE’s Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) but are an effort to help K-12 and institutions of higher education prepare for large-scale emergencies, assist during the events, and provide suggestions to help in the aftermath based on previous critical incidents. No two crises are the same and therefore it is impossible to anticipate all situations. However, knowing what worked previously and what educators had wished were in place before an emergency, can help others before tragedy strikes.
